A Healthier, High-Protein Take on a Classic
Looking for a cereal bar that’s crunchy like a Rice Krispy treat and sweet with the perfect chocolate + peanut butter combo? I’ve gotchu with these Chocolate PB Protein Krispy Bars that taste like eating Reese’s Puffs—just cleaner and higher in protein! Come to think of it, I don’t actually think I’ve tried Reese’s Puffs, but I imagine this is what they would taste like. (I was more of a Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Fruity Pebbles girl growing up 😅).
Y’all know I love turning a good dessert into a healthier version with less sugar, more protein, and cleaner ingredients. These bars hit all the marks — crispy, chocolatey, peanut-buttery, and perfect for a snack or dessert that actually satisfies.

Ingredients
- 1 box (~5.5 cups) One Degree Organic Foods Gluten-Free Sprouted Brown Rice Cacao Crisps
- ⅓ cup organic coconut oil
- ½ cup organic natural peanut butter (no added oils)
- ½ bag organic chocolate chips (I used Pascha brand — vegan and made with super clean ingredients)
- 2 scoops whey protein of choice
👩🍳 Instructions
- Melt the base:
In a microwave-safe bowl, add coconut oil, peanut butter, and chocolate chips.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. - Add the protein:
Stir in your protein powder until fully incorporated and no clumps remain. - Mix in the cereal:
Add the cacao crisps to the bowl and mix well until all cereal pieces are coated in the chocolate-peanut butter mixture. - Set and chill:
Line a 9×11 dish with parchment paper and pour in the mixture.
Flatten evenly using the back of a spoon or spatula.
Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before cutting into 12 bars.
Storage
Store your Chocolate PB Protein Krispy Bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days (if they last that long 😉). For a firmer texture, keep them chilled; for a softer bite, let them sit out a few minutes before eating.

💬 Final Thoughts
These bars are a total hit! Loved by kids and adults alike, they make the perfect protein-packed snack or sweet treat for busy days, post-workout fuel, or when you just need something crunchy and satisfying.
